The National Center for Urban School Transformation (NCUST) has selected 17 schools across the country as winners of its 2015 National Excellence in Urban Education Award. Wasena received the Bronze Award.
Distinguished Achievement Award-Winning School
The Governor of Virginia and the Virginia Department of Education awarded Wasena with the “2018 Distinguished Achievement Award” for the work we have done to boost
achievement and ensure that all students are making progress. This is made even more impressive as Wasena is one of a handful of Title I schools to be recognized as a Distinguished School. Parents, students, teachers, and staff should all be proud
of the collaboration and hard work it took to achieve this significant honor.
