Hi, My Name Is...

Ms. Aldridge

I hold both a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in History and Social Science.
In 1996, I earned a Master's degree in Education with an endorsement in Library Science from Radford University.  I began my career with Roanoke City Schools at Round Hill Primary School where I taught PreK-2 students for 14 years.  For the past 6 years, I've been the librarian/media specialist at Wasena.  The students are wonderful and eager to learn.
The library is a great place for developing the love of books and reading.
I love books and I enjoy listening to students who share the books they love.

Please feel free to contact me at saldridge@rcps.info.

I'm a fan of such mighty machines as the magnificent "J Class" 611 steam locomotive built right here in Roanoke in 1950 and, the awesome P51-Mustang aircraft piloted during World War II by the famed "Tuskegee Airmen".   I grew up listening to the old-time banjo strumming (claw-hammer style) of Charlie Poole and the melodious country songs of the Carter Family.
