"Read Across America Day" is March 2nd. We will celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday with some books and a song. Did you know that he wrote over 50 books? Check out this Seuss web site for more exciting things to do.

Don't forget to read for Book-It!! March is our last month for this reading program.

This month, we will continue our discussion of famous people, including George Washington, Betsy Ross, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Johnny Appleseed, Pocahontas and Christopher Columbus. Discuss these people and their accomplishments with your child.

We will continue our discussion of recycling and taking care of our environment.

Addition and subtraction will be introduced soon. Adding and subtracting at home will improve this skill immensely. Also, practice money values and recognition of coins.

On March 15th, remember to wear green and bring a green snack. Last year, we were visited by a leprechaun and he left us a surprise!

Hope we have lots of LAMB weather days this month and not LION ones...Spring begins soon.
