This month, we will begin work on our kindergarten quilt for the letter Qq. As in years past, when the quilt is completed, it will hang in the hall outside of the kindergarten rooms. Please stop by to see it in the near future.

The Pizza Hut Book It Program continues this month. Thanks to all of the parents who are helping their children reach their monthly reading goals. One more month to go!!!
Our class will study Famous Americans this month, such as Martin Luther King, Booker T. Washington, Harriet Tubman, and Rosa Parks. We will also discuss Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.

February is Dental Health month, so we will learn how to take care of our teeth. We will also e-mail the tooth fairy to ask questions, such as, "What do you do with all of those teeth?" and "Where do you live?" We hope that she answers us!

On Groundhog's Day, we will learn about shadows and predicting the weather. We hope he doesn't see his shadow so that spring will come sooner. We will try to contact the

groundhog through his web site. Last year, his site was so busy that it took us several days to get through to him.

It is hard to believe that we have been in kindergarten for 100 days??? We will celebrate our 100th day of school. Help us practice counting and writing to 100 at home.

Don't forget that Valentine's Day is this month. Our festivities will be on Feb. 14th with goodies and exchanging cards.

Remember-Mrs. M loves chocolate !!

Conference day will be Feb 18th.

February is such a short month, but "jammed packed" with learning activities :):)
